Abstract

This study aims to determine the performance analysis of the Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning in Road Maintenance in Rengat City, Indragiri Hulu Regency. The Public Works and Spatial Planning Office of Indragiri Hulu Regency in carrying out the maintenance of the Rengat City road is important because the Rengat City Road is one of the problems so far it has not been handled properly. To analyze the problem, the researcher uses Agus Dwiyanto's theory in accordance with the problem using assessment indicators which consist of, productivity, service quality, responsiveness, responsibility and accountability. This type of research that is located on the street of Rengat City is a descriptive surver, which prioritizes the questionnaire list as a data collection tool and the data collected with this tool is then used as the main raw material for analyzing the empirical conditions of the objectivity of the existence of research objectives at the meticulous location. There are four population and sample groups in this study, namely the Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office, the Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office, the Road Development and Maintenance Section, and the community around the damaged roads in Rengat City. The determined sample sizes determined from these four population groups are 1 person for the Head of the Office of Public Works and Spatial Planning, 1 person for the Head of the Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning, 1 person for the Road Construction and Maintenance Section, and 30 people for the Community around the damaged road Rengat City. Three sampling techniques used in determining individual samples are purposive sampling techniques for employees and incidental sampling techniques for community groups. Types and data collection techniques used consist of, primary data collected using questionnaire and interview lists and secondary data collected using observation techniques. While the data analysis technique used is to use a frequency table tool. Based on this analysis technique the researcher assessed and concluded that the maintenance of the Rengat City road by the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office of Indragiri Hulu Regency was at a fairly good assessment interval.
