Abstract

This study research was conducted with the aim to measure the students environment attitudes through Adiwiyata programme at SMPN 4 Siak Hulu in school, on April 2019. The method used in this research was the survey. Data collection was done by using observation, questionnaire and interview. Subjects in this study were students of class VII and amounted to 370 people. Subjects in this study was close with used simple random sampling as much as 25%, therefore obtained a sample of 92 people. Based on the result of the observation from the observation sheet, the indicator 1 shows that: “Always preserving the environment”, resulted from the observation sheet: 87,5% and from the questionnaire: 93,66%. Indicator 2 shows that: “loving neatness and cleanliness of the environment” resulted from the observation sheet: 92,8% and from the questionnaire: 89,13%. Indicator 3 shows that: “ Being wise in using natural resources” resulted from the observation sheet: 69,52% and from the questionnaire: 94,37%. Indicator 4 shows that: “Supporting reforestation” resulted from the observation sheet: 42,2% and from the questionnaire: 91,33%. Indicator 5 shows that: “ Participation based environment activity” result from the observation sheet: 85,21% and from the questionnaire: 94,47%. It can be concluded that the result shows that SMPN 4 Siak Hulu has “Very care for the environment” criterion based on the average result from the observation sheet: 75,44% and from the students questionnaire 92,67%.
