Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of civil service police units in curbing street vendors on the street H.r.soebrantas, Tampan District, Pekanbaru City by using the theory According to (Levinson 2012-213). which is attached to a person must be distinguished from a position in social relations, a person's position in society (namely social-position) is a static element that indicates the individual's place in community organizations.The data analysis technique used in this study uses quantitative methods. From the research that the author conducted based on 6 indicators, the data collection technique was carried out by observation techniques, namely the author made direct observations of the object to be examined so that the author could assess the role of the Civil Service Police Unit in controlling street vendors in the city of Pekanbaru. The research was conducted by taking the data taken in the form of notes and documentation, by interviewing in-depth using an interview guide where the researcher held direct questions and answers with several relevant informants. The subjects of this research are the Head of the Pekanbaru City Civil Service Police Unit / Secretariat, General Section, Supervision, Operations and Public Order, Security Section, Civil Service Police Unit Personnel, Street Vendors.The research results show that the Role of the Civil Service Police Unit in Controlling the Street Vendors Government Regulation No. 18 of 2018 concerning Satpol PP.
