Abstract

Students' Ability to Analyze Aspects Meaning and Linguistics of Biography Text Class X of Dumai Year 4 Vocational High School Doctrine of 2018/2019 The analyzing activity is an activity to describe or dividing and analyzing events, so that can be concluded that analyzing a biographical text can describes where biographical texts are based on aspects of meaning and biographical texts based on language so that you know the real situation. Problem in this study 1) What is the ability of students to analyze text biography class X SMK 4 Dumai based on aspects of meaning? 2) How student's ability to analyze the biography of class X of SMK 4 Dumai based on language. The purpose of this study is 1) Describe, analyze and interpret students' ability to analyze text biography class X SMK 4 Dumai based on aspects of meaning. 2) Describe, analyze and interpret students' ability to analyze text biography class X SMK 4 Dumai based on language. Deep population this research is all class X of SMK 4 Dumai totaling 22 students. Room the scope of this study belongs to the scope of the study of science language teaching skills in analyzing. Theory used to analyze the problem of this study is Suherli et al (2017) Yustinah (2016) Constantya (2018) Arikunto (2013). The method used in this research is a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. Technique used in this study are observation techniques, and test techniques. The data analysis technique is the percentage technique referred to by Sudjiono, Anas (2011), and the benchmark value proposed by Arikunto, Suharsimi (2013). Results this study as a whole that students' ability to analyze biography text class X SMK 4 Dumai can be concluded 1) Student ability class X of SMK 4 4 Dumai academic year 2018/2019 in analyzing biographical texts based on aspects of meaning are in the good category with a value (70.45). 2) Ability of class X students at SMK 4 4 Dumai academic year 2018/2019 in analyzing biographical texts based on language are in sufficient categories with value (59.84). Thus the hypothesis reads ability students analyze the biography of class X in SMK 4 Dumai based on aspects meaning with less category with a value of 0-60 on the hypothesis rejected. Meanwhile, the hypothesis that reads the ability of students to analyze biographical texts class X SMK 4 Dumai based on language with less categories with the value of 0-60 in this research hypothesis is accepted.
