Abstract

This study aims to determine how the strategy of the Department of Transportation in the management of Bandar Laksamana Terminal in Indragiri Hilir Regency. The strategy indicators of the Department of Transportation in the management of Bandar Laksamana Terminal in Indragiri Hilir Regency which are used include environmental observation, strategy formulation, strategy implementation and evaluation and control. This research is located in the office of the Indragiri Hilir Regency Transportation Office, then the type of research used in this study is a qualitative research method in which qualitative researchers try to construct meaning about a phenomenon based on the views of the participants and use observation, interviews and documentation as tools. data collection. The key informants in this study were the Head of the Indragiri Hilir Regency Transportation Service (Drs. H. Rudiansyah, Msi) and the informants researchin this study the authors took 2 (two) people consisting of the Head of the Infrastructure Sector (Sumitro, SE) and employees of the infrastructure sector ( Yusnaldi), 6 (six) passengers and 5 (five) travel drivers. Types of data collection consist of primary data, secondary data. While the technical data analysis is clarified with data obtained from interviews, field notes and documentation by organizing data into categories, describing them into units, synthesizing, arranging into patterns, choosing which ones are important and being studied and making conclusions so that they are easy. understood by oneself and others, the Bandar Laksamana Terminal management strategy by the Indragiri Hilir District Transportation Agency in the results of interviews and observations that there are still some shortcomings and obstacles in terminal management.
