Abstract

Substance concerning the Role of the Pekanbaru City Transportation Service in Supervision of Parking Retribution It Is How the Role of the Transportation Agency Regarding Parking Levies Especially in Problems of Illegal Parking. The purpose of this study was to find out the Transportation Department of Pekanbaru City in Supervising Parking Retribution. This research method is a descriptive survey using quantitative methods. The sampling technique in this study used a census method for the Head of the Transportation Service, and random sampling techniques for Employees, the community, and coordinator elements, the sample in this study the authors determined as many as 40 people. The results showed that the role of the Pekanbaru City Transportation Agency in the Supervision of Parking Retribution was categorized as not running well and maximally. This is due to the lack of the presence of parking attendants who have not fully used the parking ticket as it should, and also to the community as parking service users that lack of awareness will pay for parking, furthermore there is still a lack of parking locations and many people use public roadside vehicles. can disrupt the flow of traffic so that it is difficult to supervise the collection process of its retribution, and finally regarding the obstacles in supervision carried out by the Department of Transportation to the management of parking by third parties it is not optimal and maximal.
