Abstract
This tourism is motivated by the high stretch of tourism in Lima Puluh Kota Regency. The last few years marketing efforts of tourism potential have been carried out on a large scale to increase the number of tourists. The concept of Indonesian Tourism Marketing Communication Strategy as the main indicator becomes the reference material for researcher in analyzing tourism marketing communication strategies carried out by the Lima Puluh Kota Regency. This research method uses qualitative descriptive, where the leadership element in the Tourism Office is the subject. This research uses interview,observation and documentation in data collection technique. The result shows that the Department of Youth and Sports Tourism Lima Puluh Kota has done tourism marketing based on Indonesian Tourism Marketing Communication Strategy with several notes. Researcher analyzed that the Tourism Department's grand strategy already has an RENSTRA which is a reference for tourism marketing programs in the next 5 years but the Tourism Office does not have a long-term plan and a medium-term plan specifically for tourism programs. In the pull strategy, the Tourism Office has made the usage of media such as electronic media and print media, but the researcher analyzed that the Tourism Office has not maximized the usage of social media or internet to do tourism marketing. Whereas the push strategy that has been implemented is in the form of national and international events. Tourism marketing is increasingly being actively carried out by the Lima Puluh Kota Tourism Office which aims to increase domestic and international tourists.
