Abstract

Agricultural Development is part of the Development of the Economic Sector and is an internal part of regional development aimed at realizing the ideals contained in the principles of Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution to achieve a just and prosperous society. The problem is to minimize the impact of flooding carried out by farmer groups, while the Agriculture and Fisheries Office of Indragiri Hulu Regency does not make efforts to minimize the impact caused by flooding, so the purpose of this study is how the agriculture and fisheries office reduces the impact of flooding on agricultural products. This research uses quantitative methods, with the research location in the role of the subdistrict. The types and sources of data used are primary data and secondary data, while the data is based on the results of observations and questionnaires. After all the data obtained in the study are collected, then they are grouped to be used as input in this study. Based on the results of the analysis of the performance analysis of the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries Indragiri Hulu District lacks communication or cooperation and does not provide ideas or ideas to farmer groups. As well as a deficiency, namely the responses of respondents from the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries of Indragiri Hulu Regency and farmer groups with slightly contradictory responses. And it is hoped that the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries of Indragiri Hulu Regency will be able to provide useful ideas or ideas to farmer groups so that in the future they will get satisfactory results.
