Abstract

How powerful the media to influence the information to make a public perception, including online media. Because the access is very spacious, all of people can interact, but the spread of its information really difficult to stop. Using the analysis of media content, author argue that social media can stigmatize someone. In this study it can be concluded that social media can be an effective giver stigma and time considering the fast spread of the news, especially when using exciting new terms of audience research. The news are various from the ordinary news and even to the celebrities news with a wide range of topics such as pelakor is the most topic that happens in social media for example: Mrs Nylla who claimed as pelakor and this news has been shared in many social media platforms and got commentaries and blames from people in social media. From labelling that given in social media can make the true impact of labelling theory, such as the pelakor feeling difficult to defend themselves because they got labelled from people so that they get a bad image and bad reputation as well. With a visual method can be used to describe, analyze the comments that happens in social media regarding pelakor. The spread of informations can also through mass media such as television, radio, newspaper. So the news is easily spread among people. As a result, pelakor will have a bad relationship with people around themselves, for example the pelakor will be dumped from their social life and also not wanted to contribute to the community life. In the family environment the impact of pelakor can be of disintegration of the family harmony, which embarrassed the family, also their children will get insults from their friends or maybe from surrounding people.
