Abstract
Given that the village government is the lowest government base in the structure ofe the indonesian government which is very decisive for the succes of efforts in comprehensive national development. Then one aspect that needs to be built is to increase the capacity of village government officials in carrying out administrtive tasks, in addition to strengthening community participation and instututions. The village govermment and its apparatus are the main administrators of govermment,development and community activities as well as peace advisers and order in his domain.one of the village thar carrying out physical development is the pembatang village pangean district,kuantang singingi regency.the purpose of tis study was to find our the implementation of the duties of the village chief in physical develomen.the type used in this study is a type of survey research where data and information are collected through field observations and as a basis for describing each indicator and digging deeper into matters relating to te object of research. The location of the study was carried out un pembatang village.After the research is done, it is then grouped accurding to the type and type of data and added with quantitative explanations that are supportive in explanations that are supportive in explanaining the result of the research.
