Abstract

This research is motivated by direct experience by researchers about television shows. Violence has become a common phenomenon, ranging from criminal cases presented in every television program. Senior high school students (SMA) are generally aged sixteen to nineteen years and how many are at the stage of adolescent development. Adolescence is a developmental transition period between childhood and adulthood which contains major changes in physical, cognitive and psychosocial conditions. The research carried out was intended to determine the impact of student behavior through displays of violence on MMA One Pride and the factors forming student behavior through MMA One Pride violence. In this study the authors used a descriptive method. Through a qualitative approach, the purpose of the research basically rests on the effort to observe, collect, analyze, interpret data about the impact of student behavior through displays of violence on MMA One Pride and the factors forming adolescent behavior. The data collection techniques used are through observation, interviews and documentation. The results obtained from the data that have been collected are adolescent perceptions about MMA shows as a means of training, the impact of mimicking the way MMA athletes perform martial arts movements, does not have an impact on education, has an impact on socialization with friends by discussing what they see on MMA shows, this is make interesting conversations as youth self-development by exchanging ideas. Factors shaping student behavior through shows of MMA One Pride violence, namely the desire to imitate the movements of MMA athletes, seen in the reflex movements of adolescents who watch MMA shows, admiration for the figure of MMA athletes, the urge to compete with friends where the desire to show themselves to their friends.
