Abstract

This research was motivated by the low of students’ learning interest in PAI subject of class IX at Islamic junior high school Bahrul Ulum Ukui Pelalawan. Interest was an important factor in students’ learning activity. When learning activity did not followed by learning interest, it could bring a bad influence in students’ learning achievement. The symptoms happened showed that the students did not give attention to teacher’s presentation, they were bored in learning, and they did not respond well for teacher or material. Implementing sosiodrama method was a problem solving and by using this method made students would give attention to material. The formulation in this research was there any influence of sosiodrama method on students’ learning interest. the purpose in this research was to examine the influence of sosiodrama method on students’ learning interest. This research used quantitative method with correlational design. The population and sample were 45 students. The data collection technique used questionnaire and documentation. Based on hypothesis test analysis showed significant score less than 0.05 where 0.000<0.05. The influence number could be seen from summary table with R square score in 0.902 or 90.2%. It meant that sosiodrama method influenced students’ learning interest in very strong criterion. When this method improved well, it predicted that learning interest will increase 0.709 (70.9%), then, when this method decreased, it could make learning interest would decrease 0.709 (70.0%). This finding could be concluded that there was any influence of sosiodrama method on students’ learning interest in PAI subject of Class IX at Islamic junior high school Bahrul Ulum Ukui Pelalawan.
