Abstract

This research background caused by lack of students’ active learning at junior high school 8 Tapung Kampar Regency. The purpose in this research examined to know the influence of cooperative learning method type think pair share on students’ active learning in Islamic education subject at junior high school 8 Tapung Kampar Regency. This research was quantitative with correlational approach. The subject in this research was Islamic students’ class VII and VIII. The population involved 43 students at junior high school 8 Tapung Kampar Regency and they were also as sample in this research. Data collection technique used questionnaire and documentation. Data analysis technique used normality test and simple linear regression analysis. Research findings showed significant score lower than 0.05 that was 0.016, then this research hypothesis was accepted. It clearly showed that there was any influence of cooperative learning method type think pair share on students’ active learning in Islamic education subject at junior high school 8 Tapung Kampar Regency. The influence number was in 0.132 or 13.2% that was in range 0.00 – 0.199 that classified into very low category. It could be concluded that the method of cooperative learning type think pair share on students’ active learning in Islamic education subject at junior high school 8 Tapung Kampar Regency classified into very low category.
