Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether the Application of Financial Accounting in the Government of Pulau Palas Village, Tembilahan Hulu District, Indragiri Hilir Regency was in accordance with General Accepted Accounting Principles. With the accounting cycle as a reference, the author seeks to obtain relevant data in the form of: Village Bank Book, General Cash Book, Tax Assistant Cash Book, Payment Receipt Register, Report on Realization of the Implementation of Village Budget and Revenue, Village Ownership Report. Furthermore, the data obtained are analyzed using descriptive methods, namely analyzing data by collecting data to explain the situations and conditions found in the field, then compared with the theory that the writer has gotten then a conclusion is drawn to solve the problem at hand. The accounting cycle used includes the recording phase, the classification stage, the summary stage, the adjustment stage, and the reporting stage. Based on the results of data analysis conducted by the author, it can be seen that the Application of Financial Accounting in the Government of Pulau Palas Village, Tembilahan Hulu District, Indragiri Hilir Regency has not been implemented in accordance with General Accepted Accounting Principles.
