Abstract
This study is motivated by the low creativity of students at SMKS YAPIM Tambusai Utara. A student must have creativity because it is one of the important factors in determining the success in learning process and learning outcomes. The problem formulation of the study is how the influence of scientific approach on students’ creativity in learning Islamic Studies in class X at SMKS YAPIM Tambusai Utara. The aim of this study is to investigate the influence of the scientific approach on students’ creativity in learning Islamic Studies in class X at SMKS YAPIM Tambusai Utara. The type of this study is quantitative correlational research. The population of this study is all muslim students in class X. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling, that is taking the total number of the population because there are less than 100 students (only 39 students). The data collection techniques used are questionnaires and documentation. The results of this study show that the alternative hypothesis of the influence of scientific approach on students’ creativity is accepted with a significance value of 0.000. The magnitude of the influence of scientific approach on students’ creativity is moderate (0.448 or 44.8%). It can be predicted that if the scientific approach is improved, it will improve the students’ creativity by 0.669 or 66.9%. So, it can be concluded that the results of this study show that there is an influence of scientific approach on students’ creativity in learning Islamic Studies in class X at SMKS YAPIM Tambusai Utara.
