Abstract
This study aims to determine the factors that influence rice imports in Indonesia in 2007-2017. The research method used for this writing is quantitative research methods, namely to see the effect of local rice price variable (X1), rice production (X2) and population (X3) which is done by first collecting data that is then clarified, analyzed , then interpreted so that it can provide solutions to problems. With the formula used is multiple regression and data processing used is to use computer applications, namely eviews. The main data sources used are rice import data, local rice price data, rice production data and population data for 2007-2017 in Indonesia. The results of this study indicate that the rice price variable (X1) and rice production variable (X2) significantly influence rice imports in Indonesia in 2007-2017 while the population variable (X3) does not significantly influence rice imports in Indonesia in 2007-2017 . While in the F (Simultaneous) test the three independent variables significantly did not affect rice imports in Indonesia in 2007-2017 with R2 of 61%, which means that the independent variable (local rice price, rice production and population) already represented to explain the variable bound (rice imports).
