Abstract
Along with the increasing production time of an oil reservoir, production will decrease as the reservoir pressure drops. Therefore an effort must be made to increase or maintain reservoir pressure so that the rate of oil production can be increased. The effort to increase the acquisition of oil can be done by injecting water, that is by converting non-economical production wells into injection wells. Determination of water injection performance before the breakthrough time in the oil reservoir on the X AG-01 well using the Buckley-Leverett method and after the breakthrough time using the Welge method, because using the Welge method can describe the distribution of water saturation behavior (Sw) to distance after breakthrough which is better than using the Buckley-Leverett method. Reservoir performance at AG-01 well at breakthrough time, where oil production rate is 176 bbl / day and with WOR at 4.44 with 689 days of water injection. Water injection performance after breakthrough time uses the Welge method, where the value of the final oil production rate is 22 bbl / day, the water rate is 972 bbl / day with WOR of 42.49, cumulative oil production is 394976.4 STB, RF is 45.7%. Based on the above results it can be concluded that the conversion of AG-01 wells from production wells to injection wells is a good solution to increase oil recovery, which over time the injection time can increase the cumulative oil production by 394976.4 STB and increase RF by 45, 7%.
