Abstract

This study aims to determine the socio-economic impact on traders after the relocation of the lamp market to Pasar Terubuk for market traders, namely on the social economic impact. The design in this study is descriptive qualitative. The informants in this study were from the Bengkalis Regency Trade and Service Office, District Bappeda and Market Traders. Sources of data used in research are primary data obtained from the results of interviews with research informants and secondary data in the form of reports and official documents. The instrument of this research is the researchers themselves. Data collection techniques are carried out by interview, observation, and documentation techniques. Data analysis in this study uses descriptive and qualitative analysis models, namely the results of observations, the results of talks, and written material. The results of the study show that the reason for the government to move the location of the market was seen on social reasons, economic reasons. Social reasons, market location shifts make social relations between traders and traders, buyers are not familiar anymore, their social relations are divided because traders are grouped according to the type of merchandise. Economic reasons, the shift in market location made it possible for some traders to experience a decline in income and from traders to increase their income.
