Abstract

TNKB is a motorized vehicle registration number that must be installed and completed following the installation standard as an identity and completeness of the driving requirements. TNKB installation is regulated in Law Number 22 Year 2009 Concerning Road Traffic and Transportation. TNKB modification violations are still commonly found in the jurisdiction of Pekanbaru City Police. In 2018 396 cases were recorded. The problem in this study is how is law enforcement in violation of the use of 4 (four) motori zed vehicle number tags and what are the obstacles in law enforcement for violating the modification of 4 (four) motorized vehicle number tags by the Pekanbaru City Resort Traffic Unit Police. Judging from the type of research, this research belongs to th e type of legal research Observational Research research conducted by means of an interview using interviews, namely this research was conducted by conducting interviews with the head of a speeding ticket in the jurisdiction of the Pekanbaru City Police an d distributing questionnaires to the public. Law enforcement in violation of modification of 4 (four) wheeled vehicle number marks in the Pekanbaru police area has been carried out by law enforcement officers Satlantas Polresta Pekanbaru but law enforceme nt for TNKB modification violations has not been effective due to several factors such as lack of public understanding of the Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Traffic and Road Transportation which regulates the TNKB, and there are still many people who do not have legal awareness about modifying the TNKB that clearly violates the rules set out in the legislation. Furthermore, the application of sanctions given to TNKB violators was not in accordance with Law Number 22 of 2009 and the next factor was the del ay in giving TNKB from the police
