Abstract
The title of this study is the increase in the results of learning arts and culture (saman dance) through the Reciprocal Teaching method in class VIII of the BERNAS State Middle School in Pangkalan Kerinci, Pelalawan District in the academic year 2018/2019. The formulation of the problem in this study is "whether the application of reciprocal teaching methods can improve learning outcomes in Saman dance learning in class VIII BERNAS BINSUS State Middle School Pangkalan Kerinci Pelalawan Regency 2018/2019 Academic Year?". The purpose of this study was to collect data and information about increasing learning outcomes using the reciprocal teaching method can improve learning outcomes in Saman dance learning in class VIII BERNAS BINSUS SMP Negeri Pangkalan Kerinci Pelalawan District Academic Year 2018/2019. Data obtained using observation techniques, documentation techniques, practice test techniques. The method used is the method of class action. The results showed that the reciprocal teaching method can improve student learning outcomes in learning art and culture (saman dance) at BERNAS Middle School in Pangkalan Kerinci Pelalawan District Academic Year 2018/2019. These results are known from a number that reached KKM increased in the first cycle of 18 students who completed 62.06% and in the second cycle that was 25 students who completed 86.20%.
