Abstract

Water is an essential material in life. Water is also a basic requirement for life, man during his life always need water, especially for drinking. In less hygienic drinking water, there is the content of coliform bacteria, which can live in the human digestive tract. So that the required microbiological analysis of drinking water. The drinking water contained within the depot is also the possibility of contamination of coliform bacteria contained in the possible result of a perfect way less maintenance and contamination due to contact with human hands contaminated by coliform bacteria. General water quality indicate water quality or condition associated with an activity or required specific purposes. Meanwhile, regarding the water quality of water required number of humans in certain activities. Water is an essential matter in life, no water any living thing in this world that does not need water. most of the human body itself is made up of water. The average human body contains water as much as 90% of their body weight. The adult body, about 5560%, weight consists of water, for children approximately 65% and 80% for infant children. Clean water is needed in the fulfillment of human needs to do all their activities. So you need to know how the water is considered safe in terms of quality and can be used in a sufficient amount in the daily activities of man. In terms of quality, there are several requirements that must be met, which are the physical qualities consist of the smell, color and taste, quality chemicals consisting of pH, hardness, and so on as well as the biological quality of the water which is free from disease-causing microorganisms. In order for human survival can run smoothly, clean water should also be available in sufficient quantity corresponding human activities in space and time frame.
