Abstract

his study aims to develop a Biotechnology Handout on the material for handling laundry waste through phytoremediation at Islamic University Riau. This study uses the ADDIE model which consists of analysis (design), design (development), development (implementation), and evaluation (evaluation) stages. However, this research was only carried out up to the development stage, data obtained from the results of validation of biotechnology handouts with learning experts and material experts, as well as limited trials with user lecturers and students of the Biology Education Study Program FKIP Islamic University Riau. The results of this study are in the form of biotechnology handouts in book form. The results of the evaluation of material experts obtained an average percentage of 80.3% (very valid), with learning experts obtaining an average percentage of 97.5% (very valid), as well as testing the response of lecturers of I users to obtain an average percentage of 83,6% (very good), with II user lecturers getting an average percentage of 98% (very good) and student response trials with an average percentage of 87.57% (very good). Based on the results of the validation of the experts and a limited response trial, biotechnology handout products with very valid categories were used in the learning process.
