Abstract

he presence of a child in a family is a happiness for every parents. A child that born with a state of the physical and the less psychie that perfect, will be load for parents. As for the feeling of family that knowing the child was born a condition that not perfect, certainly will afraid about the future of his children. Then, feel afraid if the children can not to acceptable in the surrounding environment. And there are parents who accept the presence of her children gracefully and be grateful because it was born with safe. The purpose of this research is the relationship between resignation with acceptance of self for parents who ave children that is not perfect. The methods of data collection using the research scale self-acceptance with the amount of 43 items and the scale of total 49 were distributed to 217 parents. The sampling technique used is random sampling. Need the data obtained analyzed using correlation product moment. Based of this research it can be concluded there is a relationship of resignation with self acceptance of the parents who have children is not perfect. With total orrelation 0,477 with the value of (p) 0,00 (p<0,05) the magnitude of the value (R squared) 22,8%. so can the condluded the higher self-acceptance of parents, the higher level of trust parent who have children with special needs (not perfect). Conversely the lower acceptance of the parents, lower the level of trust parents who have children with special needs (not perfect).
