Abstract

Cases of child abuse in the orphanage are not easy to know, if not reported and published by the public. Therefore, it is beliaved thet the behavior of violence is an iceberg phenomenon, which appears to be far less tahn hidden one. As with cases of violence against childen that occurred at the Tunas Bangsa Foundaton Orphanage in Pekanbaru City. By using qualitave research methods, data analysis, which is trying to analyze by explaining in the detail and what it is about the object under study. So this study concluded that the form of violence against children that occurred at Tunas Bangsa Foundation Orphanage in Pekanbaru only occurred in three indicators, namely emotional abuse, verbal abuse, and physical abuse. While the factors that cause violencein children at the Tunas Bangsa Foundation Orphanage in Pekanbaru City are because of the personal motivation of the perpetrtors to gain economic benefits, until the Orphanage is used as a means of oppotunity created by the perpretrator and the child is the right target for exploitation for the sake of the economy because the child is perceived to be able to be easily deceived and influenced by the perpretrator, and the absence of a crime prevention strategy carried out by the apparaturs and the community certainly provides an oppotunity for the perpetrator to commit violence against children in the orphanage.
