Abstract

Probational office as an institution has the main duty to performing social research, guidance, supervision and assist clients. The guidance is given in order to prepare the Client to live well in the society, be responsible, be better and not repeat the crime anymore and able to become a good citizen again. Result of the probation officer social research will become a reference in assessing and evaluating client for preparing client live back in their family and community, but in some cases, some prisoners who had become clients of probational institution class II Pekanbaru disregard the regulation granted for him when parole had been given. The parole status for the client will be revoked and client will back again in correctional institution to spend their remaining punisment. This will made the child who involve in violation will suffer, cause its against the basic principle of children protection also its not the best interest for child. This study discusses about how is the system given for parole in probational institution class II Pekanbaru. The method in this research using qualitative with descriptive approach. Based on the result of the research, the system implementation of the guidance conducted by probational institution class II Pekanbaru in accordance with the applicable regulations. But there are still some lacking in the system, that’s because the employee in probation institution is still few.
