Abstract

The research was carried out at the Office of the Regional Disaster Management Agency of Lima Puluh Kota. The study was conducted with the aim to find out the tasks of the Lima Puluh Kota District Disaster Management Agency in Dealing with Natural Disasters in Lima Puluh Kota District. Data collection techniques that I use in this study are observation, questionnaire, interview and documentation techniques. Then the data analysis technique that the writer uses in this research is quantitative descriptive. Population and sample in this study consisted of (1) Head of Executing Agency (KABAN) as many as 1 person (2) Head of Prevention and Preparedness as many as 1 person (3) Head of Emergency and Logistics Division as much as 1 person (4) Head of Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Division as many as 1 person was then sampled using census techniques (5) as many as 25 people who were victims of natural disasters were then sampled using tectic purposive sampling. Based on the results of research conducted by the author, the task of the Lima Puluh Kota Regional Disaster Management Agency in Dealing with Natural Disasters in Lima Puluh Kota District has not gone well, because there are problems that are increasing frequency of disasters so as to increase the number of disaster-prone points in several places , but BPBD does not make disaster-prone maps. Indications of flood handling are still slow, so volunteers or search and rescue teams who seek or assist when disasters occur such as landslides, floods or other natural disasters that occur simultaneously. Examples of disasters that occur at two different places at the same time.
