Abstract

The role of the Bengkalis Regency Government in Managing Border Areas in North Rupat District is inseparable from the policy of the Head of the National Agency for Border Management No. 1 of 2015 concerning the master plan for national border management in 2015-2019. Implementation of regional boundary management by the Bengkalis Regency Border Management Section by determining the progress of development progress in North Rupat District through the Formulation of Policy Determination, Implementation of Development, Management, Utilization of natural resources with the aim of achieving development that leads to economic development and community education resources. The purpose of this studywas to analyze and find out the role of Bengkalis Regency Government in Border Management in North Rupat District and to find out the obstacles in implementing the Bengkalis Regency Government Role in Managing Border Areas in North Rupat District. The results of this study are expected to provide the following benefits: thought contribution in order to develop knowledge, especially in the field of social and political sciences and references to improve the role of Bengkalis Regency Government in Managing Border Areas in North Rupat District through five indicators that appear to be in the category "Enough Done ". However, the authors suggest the Bengkalis Regency Government in Managing Border Areas in North Rupat District to improve the planning and implementation of the North Rupat District border management and increase cooperation between the central government and local governments and the community in the progress of regional boundaries in North Rupat District.
