Abstract

Playing to express themselves without coercion with a happy feeling, for early childhood it is a place to learn many things, such as understanding rules, socializing, placing themselves, managing emotions, tolerance, and cooperation. This study aims to develop educational game tools Rotating Alphabet to improve the ability to read the beginning of children aged 5-6 years. The research method used is Research and Development, where researchers produce a product while testing the feasibility of the product. The data analysis technique used in this research is quantitative descriptive analysis technique. Data analysis for product feasibility uses an assessment of the results obtained from product design experts and material experts in the form of a questionnaire instrument, the resulting product development how EPT rotating alphabet is made of wood and illustrated stickers and used as a learning medium to improve the ability to read the beginnings of children aged 5-6 years. Through the validation process and product trials, it is concluded that the rotating alphabet is feasible to implement to improve the ability to read the beginnings of children aged 5-6 years. As a follow up, the rotating alphabet can also be changed according to the theme as an EPT to accelerate children's development in other areas.
