Abstract

One of the functions of developing spiritual intelligence is to create awareness in children about their own existence, shortcomings, and strengths, aiming to guide them towards a future with good physical and mental well-being. The research objective is to describe the process and outcomes of learning through the Islamic-themed snakes and ladders game as a means to enhance the spiritual intelligence of children in the B group of RA Uniq Pekanbaru, Riau. The study involved 15 subjects aged 5-6 years. The research method used the action research model by Kemmis and Mc. Taggart, employing non-test instruments for data collection: observation, field notes, and interviews. The study was conducted in two cycles, with the first cycle comprising four meetings and the second cycle with three meetings. Data analysis was carried out using a mixed-method approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methods. The research findings indicate a change in children's spiritual intelligence through the educational snakes and ladders game with an Islamic theme. The average spiritual intelligence score of children in the pre-cycle was 36.07, which increased to 62.86 in the first cycle and 72 in the second cycle. It is suggested for teachers and future researchers to further develop Islamic-themed snakes and ladders games to optimize other aspects of children's development.
