Abstract

This study is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students at SMP IT AlIhsan Boarding School in Kampar. The object of the study is the students in class VII with a total of 26 students. The type of the study is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The data collection techniques of the study are observation and test. The problem formulation of the study is whether the implementation of demonstration method can improve students’ learning outcomes in class VII at SMP IT Al-Ihsan Boarding School in Kampar. The aim of the study is to find out whether the implementation of demonstration method can improve students’ learning outcomes in class VII at SMP IT Al-Ihsan Boarding School in Kampar. The results of the study show that based on the observations of teacher and student activities in implementing the demonstration method in cycle I, it reached 60% and experienced an increase in cycle II to 82.22% with a high category and an average of 75.3%. In cycle I, the students obtained an average result of 30.7%. In cycle II, the students obtained an average result of 88.46% with a high category.
