Abstract

BSTRACT THE INFLUENCE OF DEMONSTRATION METHOD ON STUDENTS’ LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT IN ISLAMIC EDUCATION SUBJECT AT JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL MUHAMMADIYAH 2 PEKANBARU BY: PUTRI ANGGRAINI 192410347 This research was motivated by students’ learning achievement problem that was happened to some students at junior high school Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru. Some of students class VIII at junior high school Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru got semester test score did not achieve minimum standard criteria. The factors caused lack of students’ achievement because of some possibilities such as: students’ did not understand material that explained by teacher and they did not gave attention to teacher when teacher explain the material and the result did not get the criteria score. The purpose in this research examine how demonstrative method level at junior high school Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru, how students’ learning achievement at junior high school Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru was, and was there any influence of demonstration method on students’ learning achievement at junior high school Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru. This research was quantitative with correlational approach. The population and sample was all students class VIII in 96 students. Data collection technique used questionnaire and documentation. Research finding showed that demonstration method level at junior high school Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru classified into high. In addition, students’ learning achievement in Islamic education subject classified into very high. The other research showed that there was any influence of demonstration method on students’ learning achievement in Islamic education subject at junior high school Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaruwith significant score 0.026. Besides, the influence the influence score was very low (0.051 or 5.1%). Demonstration method influenced on students’ learning achievement in Islamic education subject at junior high school Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru.
