Abstract
This research was conducted based on the low mathematical reasoning ability of students as prospective teachers, as well as the change in the learning system from face to face to online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research aims to improve students' mathematical reasoning ability through interactive multimedia based teaching materials to support online learning. This research is a quantitative research (quasi-experimental) which was carried out at 2 universities, namely Universitas Islam Riau (UIR) and Universitas Pasir Pengaraian (UPP). The research subjects were prospective mathematics teacher students who contracted the Structure Algebra course at UIR (experimental class) and prospective mathematics teacher students at UPP (control class) in the 2021/2022 academic year. The data collection method used is a reasoning ability test and the testresult data is processed by statistical tests. Normality test using Kolmogorov-Smirnov and homogeneity test using Levene and T test. Based on the results of the T test, obtained a significance value of 0.029 <0.05. This means that there is an increase in the mathematical reasoning ability of students who receive learning using interactive multimedia-based teaching materials.
