Abstract

This research was to determine the level of critical thinking skills of students in online learning chemistry. This research is quantitative descriptive. The subjects in this study were students of class XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 3 at SMA Negeri 3 Siak Hulu. The instruments used in this study were interview guidelines, tests, and questionnaires. The instrument used in this research is valid and reliable. The results showed that the critical thinking skills of students at SMA Negeri 3 Siak Hulu were in sufficient criteria. The indicators that are in the sufficient criteria are providing simple explanations, building basic skills, and making conclusions. While the indicators that are generally still not met, namely the low criteria provide further explanations and determine strategies and tactics.
