Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on the economy. People who work informally with daily incomes and unstable incomes also experience a relatively small decline in income. Online learning continues to fulfill Indonesia's educational goals during the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to find out about the influence of the family economy on online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic for accounting education students at the Islamic University of Riau. As for this type of research the author uses quantitative descriptive. In this study, the population involving students of the Islamic University of Riau in the accounting education specialization class of 2018 amounted to 47 people. The data collection technique in this study used a questionnaire collection technique which was carried out online. The results of this study are seen from the results of simple linear regression analysis, it has been proven from the results of the t-count -0.248 < t-table 1.678 and the significant value is 0.805 > 0.05. So it can be concluded that the family economic variable (X) has no effect on the online learning variable (Y). The first hypothesis Ha is rejected and Ho is accepted. From the calculation results obtained a value (R square) of -0.21. In this case, the coefficient of determination (R^2) means that there is no influence of the independent variable (family economy) on the dependent variable (online learning) which is 3.7% and 96.3% comes from other variables.
