Abstract

This study aims to: (1) identify and describe the learning motivation of class X students of SMA YLPI Pekanbaru in the 2021/2022 academic year; (2) knowing and describing the learning outcomes of class X students of SMA YLPI Pekanbaru for the 2021/2022 Academic Year; and (3) knowing, analyzing, and describing the relationship between learning motivation and Biology learning outcomes for class X SMA YLPI Pekanbaru in the 2021/2022 Academic Year. This research is a quantitative survey method, collecting research data in November 2022. The research population was all class X SMA YLPI Pekanbaru for the 2021/2022 academic year, with a total of 41 students as the research sample. Data analysis in this study is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. Through the results of the study, it was found that: (1) the average learning motivation score of class X SMA YLPI Pekanbaru was 60.46 in the less category, and the average learning achievement in Biology class X SMA YLPI Pekanbaru was 66.46 with the less category .; (2) the learning outcomes of class X SMA YLPI Pekanbaru for the 2021/2022 Academic Year are known from the average score which is still 72. Where the lowest score obtained by students is 0 and the highest is 100; and (3) it is known that the rcount value is greater than the rtable value (1.0872> 0.2900) or between learning motivation and learning outcomes there is a strong or high correlation, where the magnitude of the correlation that occurs is 41.66%. Thus the research hypothesis can be accepted, namely that there is a relationship between Learning Motivation and Biology Learning Outcomes for class X SMA YLPI Pekanbaru Academic Year 2021/2022.
