Abstract
Pariaman Tengah is one of the sub-districts in Pariaman City which is included in the highest level of tsunami vulnerability due to its location which is directly adjacent to the coastline and has a relatively low elevation. As a disaster-prone area, The government of Pariaman has made disaster management efforts. These disaster management efforts need to be supported by the readiness of the community to face the dangers that may occur. Therefore this research was conducted with the aim of assessing the level of resilience of coastal communities in Pariaman Tengah sub-District in facing the threat of a tsunami disaster. The research approach used is deductive, with a quantitative descriptive research type. The analytical method used to assess the level of community resilience in the face of the tsunami disaster is the Coastal Community Resilience (CCR) assessment method with a scoring analysis. The results of the study show the Resilience Index value for each Coastal Community Resilience (CCR) resilience element as follows Element of Risk Knowledge with a value of 4.04, Element of Warning and Evacuation with a value of 3.91, Element of Governance with a value of 3.59, Elements of Emergency Response with a value of 3.51, Elements of Social and Economic with a value of 3.48, Elements of Landuse and Structural Design with a value of 3.25, Elements of Coastal Resource Management and Elements of Disaster Recovery 2.95. For the level of community resilience, there are two categories, namely categories based on class intervals and based on the CCR rating system. Elements that fall into the high category and are above the normal standard value (resilience index = 3.0) are Government Elements, Social and Economic Condition Elements, Risk Knowledge Elements and Emergency Response Elements. Elements that are in a fairly high category but are below normal standards are the elements of Coastal Resource Management and Disaster Recovery. While the Structural Design Elements and Land Use are in the high category but are above the normal standards of the CCR assessment.
