Abstract
Concrete is a mixture between portland cement or other hydraulic cement, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate and water with or without additives, forming a solid, strong, and stable mass. In the process of making concrete that has a long casting distance and takes a long time at the time of casting, a chemical additive is needed, one of which is the additive substance Mastersure 1007. This added material can serve to slow down the concrete bonding process, increase the lump value, reduce water consumption, and increase the compressive strength of concrete at one time. This study used a cylindrical sample. The percentage of added ingredients of Mastersure 1007 used there are 4 variants, namely 0%, 0.8%, 1% and 1.2% of the total weight of cement. The method used for calculating concrete mixture (mix design) is based on SNI 03-2834-2000. Testing is carried out at the age of 3 days, 7 days and 28 days. From the results of the study, the results of slump testing that have been carried out it turns out that the greater the dose of ingredients added Mastersure1007 the slump value obtained is lower. This occurs because the reaction of the retarder contained in the added material in the cement does not react optimally at high doses. From the results of concrete testing that has been carried out, the concrete formation process at the age of 3 days is faster than concrete with an age of 7 days and 28 days. The result of the compressive strength of concrete from the addition of Mastersure 1007 the greater the dose of added material, the higher the compressive strength value obtained. But at the age of 7 days testing obtained unstable results. The results obtained prove that the compressive strength of concrete with the addition of Mastersure 1007 at a high dose will reduce the slump value in concrete while for the higher dose, the compressive strength will increase.
