Abstract

This research is entitled "development of video-based audio-visual learning media in learning Biology material for class X SMA ecosystem in Pekanbaru for the 2021/2022 school year". This study aims to develop video-based audio-visual learning media on the subject matter of the ecosystem for class X SMA students. This research is a development research using the ADDIE method. The stages in this research are analysis, design, and development. Determination of the sample is done by using purposive sampling technique. The number of subjects consisted of 10 students from each school, namely SMA Plus PGRI Pekanbaru, SMAN 14 Pekanbaru and SMAN 4 Pekanbaru. The data were obtained by validating the learning media to material experts, media experts, and teachers, as well as seeing the students' responses to the developed media by conducting validity trials. The results of the study were in the form of video-based audio-visual learning media in the form of CDs. Descriptive data analysis. The results of material expert validation show that the developed learning media is very valid with an average percentage of 97.92%. The results of the media expert validation show that the developed learning media is very valid with an average percentage of 97.55%. The results of validation by three teachers who teach Biology subjects show that the developed learning media is very valid to be used in the learning process with an average percentage of 86.11%. This video-based audio-visual learning media that was developed received very good responses from students. This can be seen from the average response of students from three schools of 91.92% (very valid). Based on the validation results from the experts, it was obtained that the video-based audio-visual learning media product was in a very valid category.
