Abstract
The purpose of this study is to find policies to improve the performance of The particular goals is to assess how the empirical correlation or relationship between variables specific bank (financial factors) with rural bankis (RB) or Bank perkreditan Rakyat (BPR) financial performance affects the financial performance improvement. The population consists of 26 RB. The period under study is from 2010 to 2015. The data are taken from banks’ annual reports. In this study using panel data and analysis using pooled ordinary least square (OLS) and random effect. while fixed effect is not used in the analysis because the number of banks has not changed to any bank during the study period and there were three dummy variables. The results of the processing of these models did not differ significantly. From the above results indicate that the dummy variable ownership and systems of banks, total assets, equity and the cost effect on the bank's performance as measured by ROA and ROE. While the region dummy variable is not significant to the performance of BPR. System syariah BPR BPR better than conventional systems due to the bank is not burdened with payment of the deposit fee is fixed, relatively more honest customer honesty in the payment of loans and revenue Islamic bank financing is greater than the various forms of financing offered to customers. Thus the future strategy should change BPR conventional to Islamic system.
