Abstract

Roads are a very important infrastructure for the needs of the community. Road damage can have an impact on the social and economic conditions of the community. Study. This research was conducted in Indragiri Hulu district, Rengat city. And it aims to find out the implementation of the tasks of BAPPEDA in Indragiri upstream district in road maintenance in the upstream Indragiri district, especially the city of Rengat, as well as to find out the obstacles in road maintenance activities. Because there are still many damaged roads in the city of Rengat that need to be addressed immediately. This type of research uses a descriptive survey with a qualitative method. Types of data and data sources used are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation as well as the theory used is implementation. So it can be concluded that the implementation of BAPPEDA's tasks in road maintenance in Indragiri Hulu Regency is in the "enough implemented" interval. the achievement of Bappeda's tasks has carried out its duties well although it is still not optimal. These results can be seen from the three indicators that the authors describe, namely, implementing all plans, seen from the assessment items Bappeda always sets goals and actions to be taken such as repairs and maintenance needed to maintain road conditions so that they are still able to serve traffic so that the plans set can be implemented. achieved. the policies that have been formulated and determined, in which the parties participating in road maintenance, as well as those involved in road maintenance have been carried out properly in accordance with their respective duties and obligations in road maintenance. And who does it, where there is still a lack of road experts, namely geodetic experts, and team leaders who carry out road maintenance and directives to work personnel.
