Abstract

This study aims to determine differences in the financial performance of Islamic life insurance companies using the Early Warning System (EWS) and Risk Based Capital (RBC) methods registered with the financial services authority. The population of this study is a sharia life insurance company. The sample taken is a sharia life insurance company registered with the Financial Services Authority which is registered with the Financial Services Authority for the 2016-2020 period, totaling 5 companies. The sampling technique used purposive sampling method. The type of data used by researchers is secondary data. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis and the kruskal-wallis test. The test results using the analysis found that there are differences in the financial performance of sharia life insurance companies using the Early Warning System and Risk Based Capital methods registered with the Financial Services Authority, especially in solvency ratios, claim expenses, investment returns, and liquidity. However, in terms of financial performance, namely in terms of Premium Growth, Technical Reserve Ratios, and Risk Based Capital, there are no significant differences from the five sharia life insurance companies.
