Abstract
The implementation of occupational safety and health is a program created by both workers and employers in an effort to prevent accidents resulting from work and occupational diseases by recognizing things that have the potential to cause accidents and illnesses as a result of work and anticipatory actions in the event of accidents and occupational illnesses. The goal is to create a safe, healthy workplace so that it can reduce the risk of accidents and illness as low as possible. The level of occupational safety and health at PT. Adei Plantation and Industry are still often overlooked. This is indicated by the still weak implementation of work safety management systems at PT. Adei Plantation And Bengkalis Regency Industry. The problems found in writing this thesis are how to implement occupational safety and health protection based on Law Number 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower at PT. Adei Plantation and Industry of Bengkalis Regency, as well as how the obstacles in the implementation of occupational safety and health protection at PT. Adei Plantation and Industry. In this study the type of research uses observational research with the nature of descriptive research. The research location chosen by the author is PT. Adei Plantation And Industry Bengkalis Regency because it has not yet run a occupational safety and health management system. The population in this study was the head of the Department of Manpower, Transmigration and the Management of PT. Adei Plantation and Industry and Workers of PT. Adei Plantation and Industry with a sample of 17 respondents. Primary data is obtained directly from the field where the author directly takes to the field in order to obtain the required data while secondary data comes from literature books relating to the problem of the author. Data collection tools used were interviews and questionnaires. The data obtained are then analyzed by descriptive method which is then drawn conclusions by deductive conclusion method. The results of the study obtained that the implementation of occupational safety and health has not been carried out as it should the company has not maximally provided the rights of workers by providing personal protective equipment to workers and weak company supervision to workers who do not wear personal protective equipment while working. Supervision by the Bengkalis Regency Manpower Office on the implementation of occupational safety and health is still not optimal and there is a lack of guidance and socialization of companies and workers, so there are still many companies that commit violations regarding occupational safety and health and not yet maximum Bengkalis Regency manpower service against actions against companies who commit violations related to occupational safety and health.
