Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the effect of work motivation on employee performance at the Kubu sub-district office, Rokan Hilir Regency. The population in this study were 42 respondents, sampling using the Probability Sampling technique with the census method, so the sample used was 42 respondents. The research data was obtained from questionnaires (primary), literature study and direct interviews with related parties according to the research objectives. The analysis technique uses instrument test, simple linear regression, correlation test, determination test and t test (partial). The results of this study indicate that work motivation has a significant effect on employee performance. This is evidenced by the results of the calculation of the t-count value is greater than the t-table value, namely t-count of 10.178 > t-table 2.021. with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.005 or 5%. The results of the correlation analysis obtained a correlation coefficient R of 0.894 or 89.4%, which means that the relationship between the independent variable Motivation (X) on employee performance (Y) at the sub-district office of the district of Rokan downstream has a positive effect.
