Abstract

Nominal phrases are phrases formed from two or more elements the point is a noun, while the other element is an attribute. This research entitled "Structure of Nominal Phrases of Riau Malay dialect in Merbau Bay Kubu District Rokan Hilir Regency ". Problems raised in the study These are (1) What are the categories of words or phrases that are elements in a phrase nominal Riau Malay Language Dialek Teluk Merbau, Kubu District, District Rokan Hilir? (2) What is the relationship of meaning between elements in a phrase nominal Riau Malay Language Dialek Teluk Merbau, Kubu District, District Rokan Hilir? This study aims to describe, analyze data detailed and systematic research regarding the structure of nominal phrases so obtained a real description of the nominal phrase structure of the Malay language Riau Dialect Bay Merbau District Kubu District Rokan Hilir Regency. The theory used to analyze the problem of this research is the theory put forward by Ramlan (2005) and several other additional theories. Data source this research is the whole speech of Riau Malay language in the Bay of Merbau dialect Kubu District, Rokan Hilir Regency obtained from informants. Method used in this research is descriptive method. This type of research including field research with a qualitative approach. Collection technique the data used are observation techniques, refer to skillful involvement, recording, and Interview. From the results of the analysis obtained, it can be concluded that nominal phrase structure Riau Malay language Dialek Teluk Merbau Kubu District Rokan Hilir Regency found nominal phrases according to the problem under study namely (1) What are the categories of words or phrases that are elements in a phrase nominal Riau Malay Language Dialek Teluk Merbau, Kubu District, District Rokan Hilir ?, there are nouns followed by nouns [fish (N) smilaŋ (N)], nouns followed verbal [uʷaŋ (N) mniŋgal (V)], noun followed by [jam (N) tigo (Bil)], noun followed by the front phrase [k (FD) baʷah (N)], nouns are preceded by clothing [si (Sd) or (N)], followed by noun [yaŋ kojo (N)], followed by verbal [ya [mŋnjago (V)]. (2) What is the relationship of meaning between elements in nominal phrases of language Riau Malay Bay Merbau Dialect, Kubu District, Rokan Hilir Regency ?, there are a number of [tigo toloʷ], and the term [pa� lurah].
