Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of Quranic Rhythm Murattal Method (Muri-Q) on students’ ability in reciting Quran in Grade VIII at MTs Fadillah Pekanbaru. This is correlational a quantitative study. The subject of the study is the students in Grade VIII at MTs Fadillah Pekanbaru, and the object of the study is the influence of Quranic Rhythm Murattal Method (Muri-Q) on students’ ability in reciting the Quran in grade VIII of MTs Fadillah Pekanbaru. The population of the study consists of 121 students with a sample of 60 students. The data collection techniques of the study are questionnaires and documentation. Based on the data analysis, it is known that there is an influence of the Quranic Rhythm Murattal Method (Muri-Q) on the students’ ability in reciting the Quran in grade VIII at MTs Fadillah Pekanbaru. It is known from the results of simple linear regression analysis with a significance value of 0.000, because 0.000 is less than 0.05, so the alternative hypothesis is accepted. The magnitude of the influence of the Quranic Rhythm Murattal Method is 0.333 or 33.3% which is included in a low category, because it is in the range of 0.20 - 0.399 as contained in the correlation coefficient interpretation table, while the remaining 66.7% is influenced by other factors. Thus the alternative hypothesis is accepted, the level of the relationship between the influence of the Quranic Rhythm Murattal Method (Muri-Q) on students’ ability in reciting the Quran in grade VIII at MTs Fadillah Pekanbaru is in the Low category.
