Abstract

This research aims to know the factors that affect the level of unemployment in the Regency of Bengkalis. The data used in the study is secondary data. Methods of data analysis that is used is in the processing of the results of this research is a method of multiple regressionanalysis in which the methods used to measure the influence of the independent variable (the population growth Rate and the growth rate The dependent variable) against the economy (the total number of Unemployed). The results showed that the value of R ²of 0.486861. This shows that 48% of population growth Rate and Economic growth rate already represents to explain the number of Jobless in the Regency of Bengkalis. While the rest of the 52% is explained by other variables outside of the model. Further views of the value of the koefesien variable and test T (Partial) may note that the variable rate of population growth (X ) have significant influence towards the total number of Jobless in the Regency of Bengkalis, whereas the level of Economic growth (X 2 1 ) does not affect the total number of Jobless in the Regency of Bengkalis. While based on the F-test (Simultaneous) second free variables (population growth Rate and the growth rate of the economy) that simultaneously have significant influence towards the total number of Jobless in the Regency of Bengkalis.
