Abstract

This study aims to investigate whether there is an influence of Islamic Studies Learning on congregational prayer motivation of students at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. This is a quantitative study with a correlational approach. The subject of the study is the students in grade X SCIENCE 1 and X SCIENCE 2 at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru, the object of the study is the Islamic Studies learning on congregational prayer motivation of students in grade X at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru, the sample of the study is only 52 students. The data collection techniques of the study are questionnaires and documentation. Based on the data analysis, it is known that there is an influence of Islamic Studies learning on congregational prayer motivation in grade X at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. Based on the results of simple linear regression analysis, it is known that the significance value is 0.000, because 0.000 is less than 0.05, so the alternative hypothesis is accepted. The magnitude of the influence of Islamic Studies learning on congregational prayer motivation is 0.554 or 55.4% which is categorized as quite strong, because it is in the range 0.40- 0.699 in the correlation coefficient interpretation table, while the remaining 44.6% is influenced by other factors. Thus the alternative hypothesis is accepted. The level of relationship between Islamic Studies learning and congregational prayer motivation of students in grade X at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru is included in the fairly strong category.
