Abstract

One of education media was Islamic cartoon film. Islamic cartoon film was a moved animation that projected through screen and deliver message based on Islamic sharia and it hoped that it could create students’ character. Character was a basic value to develop someone that formed based on heredity and environment influence. Islamic cartoon film in theory could influence students’ character. This research was motivated by the lack of students’ character at Islamic junior high school Al-Husniyah. The purpose in this research examined to know the influence of Islamic cartoon film on students’ character at Islamic junior high school Al-Husniyah. This research used quantitative with correlational approach. The population in this research was 201 students with sampling 134 students. Data collection technique used questionnaire and documentation. Research finding showed that the hypothesis about the influence of Islamic cartoon film on students’ character was accepted with significant score 0.000. Before implementing Islamic cartoon film, constant score (a) in 2.242 that meant the level of students’ character was very low. The influence score could be categorized in very strong (0.973 or 97.3%). Meanwhile, others 2.7% was influenced by others factors. Then, the relationship level between Islamic cartoon film and students’ character in 0.986 or 98.6% that meant there was very strong relationship between Islamic cartoon film and students’ character at Islamic junior high school AlHusniyah Pulau Kijang Reteh Sub district Indragiri Hilir Regency.
