Abstract

Student's dissatisfaction with teacher teaching methods such as teachers who are too guided by the principle of learning, teachers who are lazy to go to class and only leave assignments, do not give an assessment of the assignments, teaching methods that are too serious and boring, teachers who are less creative in teaching, and the lack of interaction between students and teachers proved to influence learning based on student self-regulation. This study aims to determine the effect of student perceptions on teacher classroom management with self-regulation in learning. The sample in this study consists of 304 students of SMAN 2 Mandau who were selected by cluster sampling technique. The data collection technique uses a self-regulation scale in learning by Herawati (2012) which consists of 38 items and class management scale by Munawwaroh (2018) which consists of 37 items as well and has been modified by researchers. The data were analyzed by using simple linear regression analysis. The result of this study indicates that there is a significant influence between students' perceptions of teacher classroom management and self-regulation in learning with a value of t = 8.516, and p = 0.000 (p 0.05). The effective contribution of the student's perception variable on teacher classroom management towards learning self-regulation is 19.40%, the rest is influenced by other unexamined variables.
