Abstract
The main purpose of design the transmission system of this meat crusher machine is to redesign the transmission system on an existing tool. With this meat crusher machine, it is hoped that it can help in the process of producing ground beef so that it can speed up the meatball production process. In this final project with the title "Design of a Transmission System for a Meat Shredder with a Capacity of 11.7 Kg/minute". In this study, the formulation of the problem is how to design a meat crusher transmission system to determine the number of shafts and how to determine the size of the power and rotation of the tool. Thismeat grinder meat to help crush meat for traders, this meat crusher is intended to simplify the kneading process. In this plan, the calculation results for the transmission system are obtained, namely the planned power of 21.168 kW; torque moment Kg.mm; type A V belt; pulley diameters of 138 mm, 132 mm, 150 mm, 80 mm, 150 mm, and 80 mm; 34 grove angle ; V-belt speed 9.38 m/s, 9.76 m/s, 18.3 m/s; the circumference of the V-belt is 1185.7 mm. For the calculation of the shaft to get the results of the shaft moment kg.mm; allowable shear stress 4.58 Kg/ ; shaft diameter 40 mm; angular velocity rad/s; shaft speed 24.55 m/s. The calculation for the cutting force results in a milling force of 406 N; cutting torque of 29,435 N.
